These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the mobile applications developed and published by Guan Yongchun ("we", "our", or "us") on the Google Play store. This includes every app under the Word Rhythm brand (Bible KJV, Bible ASV, Bible Web / World English Bible, Biblia RVR / Reina-Valera, 道韵 CUV Bible, Bíblia AA / Almeida Atualizada, Bible Louis Segond 1910, Lutherbibel 1912, Yorùbá + KJV, Bible KJV Quick, Bijbel Statenvertaling Lite, and Take a Break), as well as HanziNova, Born Win, and WatchList Tracker Lite. The specific app you install or use is referred to below as "the App."
By installing or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
1. The Service
Each App provides the functionality described in its Google Play listing. In general:
- Word Rhythm Bible apps offer offline access to Bible translations with daily devotional slots (morning, day, evening, sleep), reading plans, bookmarks, notes, and — in some apps — text-to-speech or sleep-audio playback.
- Take a Break offers short devotional and Scripture-based reflection prompts for moments when a full reading session is not practical.
- HanziNova offers Chinese character writing practice, stroke-order reference, and vocabulary tools for learners.
- Born Win — and its ad-supported WatchList Tracker Lite build — offers a personal trading-discipline tool for tracking watch lists, entry/exit rules, and reflections. It is not a brokerage, an execution platform, and does not place or manage real trades.
Some content — including audio recordings, sleep tracks, and downloadable language or reading packs — may be delivered over the network and requires an internet connection. The exact set of features varies by App.
Apps are offered free of charge, and some are supported by advertising. An optional in-app purchase (for example, "Remove Ads" or a Pro unlock) may be available through Google Play Billing.
2. Your Device and Account
The App runs on your device. You are responsible for:
- Providing a supported Android device with sufficient storage.
- Maintaining any Google account used for backup or purchases.
- Keeping your device and operating system up to date.
- Any network or data charges incurred while using the App.
3. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App's code.
- Scrape, bulk-download, or redistribute the App's proprietary layout, design, curated content, or datasets.
- Interfere with or disrupt the App's normal operation, its advertising, or its purchase flows.
- Use the App for any unlawful purpose or in violation of applicable laws.
4. Intellectual Property
- App code, design, and UI belong to Guan Yongchun and are protected by applicable copyright laws.
- Bible translation texts included in the Word Rhythm apps (KJV, ASV, WEB, Reina-Valera, CUV, Almeida, Louis Segond, Luther 1912, and others) are in the public domain. You are free to copy, quote, and share Scripture passages for personal, educational, or devotional use.
- Curated devotionals, prayers, reflections, and lesson content are original works. You may read them and share individual passages or prompts for personal edification, but you may not republish them as a competing product.
- Reference datasets — including character stroke data, word lists, and public-domain dictionaries — are used under their respective licences. You may not extract and redistribute them as a standalone dataset.
5. In-App Purchases
Purchases such as "Remove Ads" or Pro unlocks are processed by Google Play Billing. All transactions, refunds, subscription renewals, and payment issues are governed by the Google Play Terms of Service and the refund policy set out there. We do not store or access your payment information.
6. Disclaimers
- The App is a personal reading, learning, or tracking tool. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or acting on behalf of any church, denomination, theological institution, brokerage, exchange, or employer.
- Word Rhythm Bible apps are a reading and devotional aid. They do not provide pastoral, counselling, medical, legal, or financial advice.
- HanziNova is a practice aid. It does not guarantee exam readiness, language proficiency, or the accuracy of every historical variant of a character.
- Born Win is a personal discipline and journaling tool. Nothing in the App is investment advice, a recommendation to buy or sell any security, or a guarantee of trading performance. All market data, watchlists, and signals are for information only. You alone are responsible for your trades and their consequences.
- We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or fitness for any particular purpose of any content, dataset, or audio rendering included in the App.
- The App is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind, express or implied, to the fullest extent permitted by law.
7. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Guan Yongchun shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages — including, for users of Born Win, any trading or investment losses — arising from your use of, or inability to use, the App. Nothing in these Terms limits any non-waivable consumer rights you may have under your local laws, including consumer protection laws of the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom.
8. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Effective Date" at the top of this page and, where practical, notify you in the App. Continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
9. Termination
You may stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it. We may update, suspend, or discontinue the App, or remove it from distribution, at our discretion and without prior notice.
