   Insight My joy is anchored in God's salvation, not my circumstances.

   Prayer Lord, let my joy rest in Your salvation.

5. 5. 1 Chronicles 16:10

   Glory ye in his holy name: let the heart of them rejoice that seek the LORD.

   Reflection and prayer

   My joy is in seeking God

   Insight My heart finds joy when I pursue Him and boast in who He is.

   Prayer Lord, let me rejoice in seeking You.

6. 6. Isaiah 12:5

   Sing unto the LORD; for he hath done excellent things: this is known in all the earth.

   Reflection and prayer

   I sing because God is excellent.

   Insight When I see the excellence of God's deeds, my heart naturally breaks into song.

   Prayer Lord, stir my heart to sing of Your excellent works.

7. 7. Revelation 19:7

   Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honour to him: for the marriage of the Lamb is come, and his wife hath made herself ready.

   I prepare for the wedding feast.

   Insight The Lamb's wedding feast is coming, and His bride is ready.

   Prayer Lamb of God, fill me with joyful anticipation.

8. 8. Isaiah 61:10

   I will greatly rejoice in the LORD, my soul shall be joyful in my God; for he hath clothed me with the garments of salvation, he hath covered me with the robe of righteousness, as a bridegroom decketh himself with ornaments, and as a bride adorneth herself with her jewels.

   I rejoice in God's salvation

   Insight God clothes His people with salvation and righteousness.

9. 9. Isaiah 30:29

   Ye shall have a song, as in the night when a holy solemnity is kept; and gladness of heart, as when one goeth with a pipe to come into the mountain of the LORD, to the mighty One of Israel.

   God turns my sorrow into joy.

   Insight God gives His people a song of joy after deliverance.

   Prayer Lord, turn my sorrow into a holy song.

10. 10. Job 22:26

    For then shalt thou have thy delight in the Almighty, and shalt lift up thy face unto God.

    My delight in God lifts my face

    Insight I find that delighting in God gives me confidence to lift my face to Him.
