   For his anger endureth but a moment; in his favour is life: weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning.

   My sorrow ends in God's joy.

   Insight My sorrow is temporary, and God's joy is on the way.

   Prayer Lord, anchor my heart in the joy You promise.

   And thou shalt be secure, because there is hope; yea, thou shalt dig about thee, and thou shalt take thy rest in safety.

   Insight When I place my hope in God, I find true rest.

   And our hope of you is stedfast, knowing, that as ye are partakers of the sufferings, so shall ye be also of the consolation.

   I am comforted even in suffering.

   Insight When I suffer, I know God's comfort is near.

   I am secure when I live with God

   Thy shoes shall be iron and brass; and as thy days, so shall thy strength be.

   Each day God renews my strength.

   Insight God promises strength perfectly matched to each day's demands.

   Prayer Give me strength for each new day.

10. 10. Psalms 31:24

    Be of good courage, and he shall strengthen your heart, all ye that hope in the LORD.

    My strength comes from my hope in God.

    Insight Hoping in God gives me the courage I need.
